Option Trading

Investors familiar with the risks of options trading may request a Scottrade online option trading account.

At Scottrade, you can trade market and limit option orders for $7 plus $1.25 per contract. As a deep discount brokerage firm, Scottrade does not provide investment advice. Our customers are responsible for assessing the risks of option trading decisions.

All stock option accounts require prior approval by Scottrade. Options have a high degree of risk, and are not appropriate for all investors. Please read the Option Account Agreement, Brokerage Account Agreement and Characteristics and Risks of Standardized options carefully prior to opening an option investing account. All option accounts require prior approval by Scottrade.
