Live Stock Ticker

Scottrader's Live Stock Ticker provides online trading information on all stocks that are present on the main stock quote screen. The main purpose of the Ticker is to scroll trade information across your screen, keeping you updated about changes in the stock market throughout the day.

The Stock Ticker is simple to use and understand. When a trade occurs on one of the stocks, it's immediately posted to the Ticker to scroll. However, if the Ticker is still scrolling a previous posting, and another trade occurs at that time, the newly posted trade information will overwrite the previous posting. This will occur until a Ticker has finished scrolling what it was scrolling and is ready to scroll the next trade information.

When a Ticker is ready to scroll the next trade information, but there were no trades, the Ticker will take the next stock symbol on the main stock quote screen and post it in cyan color. On the other hand, if there as a trade before the Ticker scrolled its previous trade data, the Ticker will post that trade in a white color.

Don't just react to the market - become more proactive and take advantage of your opportunities as soon as they arise. For more information on Scottrader's Live Stock Ticker, view our online guided tour.
