Transferring Funds

You can easily transfer funds from one account to another using Scottrade Bank's online transfer page. Note that you may not transfer funds directly from your Scottrade® brokerage account to an external account without first transferring the funds through Scottrade Bank.

Federal law limits the number of certain withdrawals on any savings account or money market account to 6 per month. Withdrawals at ATMs are not subject to federal limits.

Transfer funds from your Scottrade Bank® account to your Scottrade® brokerage account or to one of your external accounts:

  1. Hover over the Banking tab in your Scottrade® account and click Transfer Funds.
  2. On the Transfer Funds page, select which account you want to transfer the money from and which account you want the money transferred to using the drop-down account boxes provided.
  3. Enter the amount of money you want to transfer in the Amount field provided. Do not use any punctuation or spacing; use numbers only.
  4. Choose a frequency. You can choose to have the funds transferred immediately or set up a scheduled transfer time.
