For every type of investment, there is significant research that can be done to help you make an educated choice. In this section, you'll find detailed information about how to use Scottrade® online tools to thoroughly research investments before you buy.

Market

The Markets section of your account provides US and world market information, analyses of market sectors, heat maps for major indexes, market recaps and more. To start researching using Market data, log in to your Scottrade® account and hover over Quotes & Research, then click the link you want to explore under the Markets heading.

Stocks

The Stocks section of your account is designed to help you find in-depth research regarding a particular company or security. To start researching a stock, hover over Quotes & Research in your Scottrade® account and click Stocks under the Research heading.

Mutual Funds

The Mutual Funds section of your account is designed to help you find in-depth research regarding a particular mutual fund. To start researching a mutual fund, hover over Quotes & Research in your Scottrade® account and click Mutual Funds under the Research heading.

Exchange-Traded Funds

The Exchange-Traded Funds section of your account is designed to help you find in-depth research regarding a particular company or ETF. To start researching an ETF, hover over Quotes & Research in your Scottrade® account and click ETFs under the Research heading.

Investor Tools

From the Investor Tools section of your account, you can view strongest performing market investments; screen for stocks, ETFs and mutual funds available at Scottrade; and compare stock-to-stock and fund-to-fund performance for earnings, performance, ratings and expenses. To use the Screeners, Comparison Tools or visit the Strongest Investments section, hover over Quotes & Research and look under Tools & Ideas in the menu that expands.
