Comparison Tools

Stock, exchange-traded fund (ETF) and mutual fund comparison tools allow you to perform a comparative analysis of stocks or funds of your choice. To access one of the comparison tools, hover over Quotes & Research and click Comparison Tools under the Tools & Ideas heading.

To use one of the Comparison Tools:

  1. Choose to compare stocks, ETFs or mutual funds using the tabs at the top of the page.
  2. Enter up to five symbols separated by a comma or space in the field provided. To search for a symbol, click the Find Symbol link located beneath the search box.
  3. Click Go.

Your stock or fund search results will be listed vertically. To change the order in which your results appear, click the left handle of any listed item and drag that stock or fund to a new location.

By default, your search results include data for the current trading day.

For stocks, use the tabs above your results to navigate among the following pages:

  • Summary
  • Performance
  • Fundamentals
  • Earnings & Dividends

For ETFs, use the tabs above your results to navigate among the following pages:

  • Summary
  • Performance
  • Fundamentals
  • Morningstar

For mutual funds, use the tabs above your results to navigate among the following pages:

  • Summary
  • Performance
  • Portfolio
  • Expenses
  • Morningstar

Click Advanced Charts to view historical performance data for any stock or fund in your results.

To remove one or more of your results from the page, uncheck the box next to the symbol you want to remove.
