Mutual Fund Performance
The Mutual Fund Performance page provides the growth of $10,000 chart, trailing total return performance, and a look at the Morningstar Quartile Rating for the fund. To access the Performance page, enter a mutual fund symbol in the Detailed Quote box in the top right corner of your screen or on the Mutual Fund Overview page, and go to the Performance tab.
At the top of the page, a growth chart of mutual fund performance displays how a $10,000 investment made in the fund at its inception would have performed. The chart is set to display 10-year performance growth by default. Use the buttons below the growth chart to set a custom start date or view growth performance for a one or five year time frame.
Below the chart, a Trailing Total Return Performance table include show the mutual fund has performed against the S&P 500 and its category in general. It also includes the fund's percentile rank within its category.
The Morningstar Quartile Rating for the fund is located on the right column of the page. The Morningstar Quartile Rating illustrates the placement of a fund among its peers inside the same Morningstar Category. In the Morningstar Quartile Rating system, one is the highest quartile and four is the lowest. For any fund researched on the Mutual Fund Performance page, the fund's Morningstar Quartile Rating is shown at one, three, five and ten years.
