Set Up One-Way Linking

Using Linkers advanced settings feature, you can link from one window to another window without linking in the reverse direction. For example, you could configure your Linker settings to always update your chart based off the symbols you enter on your watch list but not the other way around.

To set up one-way linking:

  1. On the Main Menu, point to Configure, and then click Linker Settings.
  2. In the Linker Settings dialog box, click Advanced Linker Settings.
  3. In the Advanced Linker Settings window, choose the linking method you want to use.The example below shows the method name and description. The selected windows include Outbound for Watch Lists, Inbound for Charts, and Outbound & Inbound for Detailed Quote.
  4. Click OK.
  5. In the windows that you selected for linking, choose a linker color.
