Configuring Time & Sales

The Time & Sales window has default font settings that indicate specific conditions. The default font settings can be modified.

Viewing Default Order Condition Settings

By default, Time & Sales assigns font colors to highlight different order conditions. See the table below for details.

Color

Order Condition Description

Red

Trade occurred on the bid

Green

Trade occurred on the ask

Blue

Trade occurred inside the bid or ask

Brown

Trade occurred outside the bid or ask

Teal

Special condition for the trade

Pink

Special condition for the quote

Black

Regular text

Note: The Bid Size and Ask Size are displayed in hundreds. For example, a bid or ask size of 25 would be equal to 2500 shares.

Changing Default Order Condition Settings

To change the text or font color:

  1. On the Time & Sales menu in the top left corner of the Time & Sales window, click Configure Time & Sales. The Time & Sales Editor window appears.
  2. In the Font Color area, next to the order condition, select the color you want from the Color box list.
  3. Click OK.

Condition Codes

  • NORM - Normal trade condition. No special instructions attached.
  • FORMT - Pre- or post-market trade for a security. Trades update only the volume in the quote line; they do not affect Last, High or Low.
  • IntermarketSweep - This sale condition indicates that the execution price reflects the order instruction not to send the order to another market that may have had a superior price.
  • OUTOFSYNC - Out of Sequence. The trade is printed (reported) out of sequence and at a time different from the actual transaction time.
  • MANUALBIDASKNONFIRM - Slow Quote Due to a NYSE Liquidity Replenishment Point (NYSE LRP), AMEX Tolerance Breach (Spread, Momentum or Gap Trade Tolerance), or Gap Quote on Both the Bid and Offer Sides.
  • MANUALBIDASK - Slow Quote Due to Set Slow List on Both the Bid and Offer Sides.
  • MANUALBID - Slow Quote Due to a NYSE Liquidity Replenishment Point (NYSE LRP) or Gap Quote on the Bid Side.
  • MANUALASK - Slow Quote Due to a NYSE Liquidity Replenishment Point (NYSE LRP) or Gap Quote on the Offer Side.
